What a cute idea!!! Hint: place a small square of floral foam at the bottom and "water" with 2 ice cubes every other day, then you won't have to worry about overflow! Project estimate: ■Flip flops, $1 ■Coffee mugs, on hand or $2 ■Floral foam, $1 Total: $2 and up
Love recycling and love pottering in the garden - bringing the two together and you have the upcycled container garden! A lovely guest post by the fabulous Thinly Spread making planters from wellies and pots from colanders. Fantastic. We are set for Spring! (AND teach the kids about recycling AND gardening at the same time!!)
These boots are made for growing...have wanted to do this for ages...when I get moved, I'll have my chance. WARNING: Better not leave your old work boots unattended where I can find them.....
Hanging planters from wine bottles -- Someone figured it out. Use a glass cutter to remove the bottom of the bottle, sand smooth so you don’t cut yourself. Make a ball of chicken wire or screen that will fit in the bottle, fill with moss. Put a sturdy wire through the top and attach to the wire ball. Add plant and hang.
