With a very generous garden this summer I kept a look-out for new recipes to practice vegetarian cooking. This one is a real keeper, a sprinkle of cheese on top is really nice. Makes me look forward to the garden next year. Also a great side dish for the meat-eaters and their entrees too!
1920s Original Green Goddess Dressing Recipe from San Francisco's Palace Hotel. The original used chive though many versions today use basil. I prefer chive as it gives a more robust, earthy flavor, and chive is so plentiful in most gardens. This is my favorite summertime dressing.
