      Madge Gill. London. 1884-1961. Grew up in a children's home until 19. Lost child to influenza. Lost eye during birth of stillborn child. Began to draw and paint, often in darkness. Weekly seances beginning in 1935. Mysterious word MYRINTEREST often appeared in her work. "Discovered" by Hayward Gallery's Outsider show in 1979. Hundreds of drawings found at her death in her wardrobe and under bed. (
