Dishfunctional Designs: Upcycled Dressers: Painted, Wallpapered, & Decoupaged

This 1950's sturdy piece has been reversed stenciled. The reverse stenciling can be a matter of using painters tape to create the design that will be the focus. Sides and base could be dark stained or painted out dark. Drawers were painted with ship being created by blocking wood design w/painter's tape or it could be paint stenciled. Did you receive that wonderful woodburning set when you were in grade school? or did you, as I have purchased yourself that coveted Dremel Tool with all of its fancy bits? this would be a great project to etch...tge real wood only. I have some ideas of my own, but that octopus certainly is an interesting fellow. (Dishfunctional Designs)

A strong element like this chest can be a great accent, but it needs something like a blue & red oriental rug to make it flow. Plus some better accessories would be great.
