Reporting vs Tattling, she has a good idea about the tattle jar, but I just wonder if some serious situations got skipped over on the days she threw out the papers instead of reading them. Kids aren't always just trying to get someone in trouble, though it can be more often than not.

Mindset and Grit= Success. This site has lots of research and practical teaching ideas for ways to help students set and obtain goals. I love this idea and must incorporate it in next year's class.

I did that with my 5th Graders as an after STAAR activity, titling it "What's in a Name." We did fraction review, fraction addition and subtraction, fraction to decimal and will be concluding with probability. We are creating a huge end of year math poster to showcase all of the 5th grade math they have mastered to take with them to 6th grade.
