Scrimshaw whales tooth, signed M.S., and dated July 10th 1864. Ship: Eliza Adams, off the Coast of Madagascar. The obverse is engraved with a whaleship in the background, flying the American flag. The captain is also inscribed: Capt. J.W. Cornell.
