Okay, now that it's over, here's my take on this YA Dystopian series as a whole. I thought it was worth reading. It was interesting. Did not love what the author did with the "Christian" character or the (YOUNG) teenage sex. My preference would have been for my 8th grade son to have waited and read this in high school, but not horrified he read it now.
Matched is set in a futuristic, dystopian world where everything is controlled by "The Society". Choice is taken away as everything is decided for you in order to live a healthy, extended life. The main protagonist is Cassia, who is approaching her 17th birthday and on that date she is to be matched.
