  • Nicole Boysel-Parker 08/15/2009 Here’s the backstory: it’s an artwork called Family Portrait by the artist Miguel Calderon. It’s been exhibited in several museums. He convinced his family to do it by having a curator at the Louvre write a letter saying that the project would be legitimate art. When he had previously asked the family to do it the grandfather had said something along the lines of “I’ll believe that’s art if you show me a letter from the Louvre saying it’s art.”

Just thought I'd defend the Christmas card photo I made you guys participate in with the antlers and Rudolph nose that year. It never occurred to me that skivvies only was the way to say Merry Christmas... think Grandpa and Nana would have participated like the grandparents here? (Aieee.)
