Nice moist, dense bread. Great taste. I really liked it. I did make a mistake and bought plain yougart instead of lemon like the recipe calls for, but I added a couple tblsp lemon juice and it was great. Perfect amount of poppy seeds!
Lemon Yogurt Cakes 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt 1 cup greek plain yogurt (try lemon) 1 1/3 cups sugar, divided 3 large eggs 2 teaspoons grated lemon zest (2 lemons) 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 1/2 cup canola or vegetable oil 1/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)
With the addition of an entire lemon (yes, skin, pith, juice, and pulp), these aptly named Whole Lemon Muffins have got the boldly flavored requirement covered while miraculously not being overly tart, as I feared they might be.
