A great, inexpensive idea for little ones: small world play with a large cardboard box! Love this set up from The Imagination Tree!

i love this. i taught my little one signing and it was so helpful before she could talk and tell me what she wanted.

A recent study has established (again) that you can't teach babies to read with those programs you find in the store and on TV. But you CAN teach your baby to read in his sleep. Well, sort of. It's actually about the very common aspects of most bedtime routines that are in fact the most effective activities for promoting real literacy. No program needed! :0)

Bedtime stories are a must! It is a fun way to bond with your child and truly bring the love of reading to their world. I started to read to my kids every night really early 2-3 months old. It seemed a little silly at the time, but both of my kids started reading independently at 3, not to shabby if you ask me.

That is awesome Melissa I hope my 4 and 2 year old kids star reading soon, we love and enjoy a lot story time. Thanks
