Like the shape of the petals. "RENGE or HASU is the name for the lotus flower. RENKON is the name for the lotus root. Lotus is popular in Buddhism. A beautiful plant. The leaves of the lotus floating in the water is so lovely. I could not believe how large the plant & bloom could be. Lotus root is eaten often in Japan and very tasty. Cooked many ways & even as chips. Lotus is seen in Japanese textiles & art work."

✯ Delightful. These water lilies will definitely be in the pond of my virtual cottage garden, to remind me of my grandmother.
