Time out bottles-finally found one that uses a plastic bottle instead of a mason jar. For those with kids who dont like timeout

Glitter bottle time out timer/calm down. We do OK with time outs but at school they have a "cooler" in addition to timeout. Cooler is when they are just to upset to even talk or think clearly not that they did anything wrong. Sometimes they are sent to the cooler when they are the ones who had an injustice done to them and they get upset. they go to the cooler and the offender goes to timeout. Kids can coem out of the cooler on their own, when they feel compsed. a great calming tool for that.

Glitter jars for kids time out

Time out jar! you make this with a "smart" brand water bottle, glittler glue, clear tacky glue and water. if you have a screaming kid on time out, you give them the glitter bottle to watch, the time out is over when they are calm and the glitter has settled at the bottom. ( is it awful that I am ready for the next time out?)

The Mind Jar is a meditation tool to use when you are stressed. When you shake the jar the glitter (your thoughts) are all over the place. Watch them slowly settle while you calm down. From blog, "Here We Are Together".

Time-out bottles. Fill a bottle with 3/4 water, one bottle of glitter glue, & ultra fine glitter. Then send this bottle with your child to timeout and they can watch it settle to calm them. Once the glitter is settled their time is up! | Cool idea for my niece.

water play with multiple activities. It would be neat to have an area where several short hoses and sprayers with containers could be attached. I'd make it longer so that children would be spaced farther apart but I like the natural look of what appears to be a wooden wall and possible wooden steps or a bench behind it to provide better access from the top.

'Calm Down Jar' - shake the jar and the child has to watch the jar until the glitter settles ~ Why didn't we have this when my son was little?

Awesome idea! I wish it wasn't so cold out now. I think Asha would love this. Painting with water.

time out jar- shake the jar, when the glitter all settles you're done. Supposedly helps them concentrate on calming down while they watch the glitter...
