"Brain Break" sticks! Each popsicle stick has an activity on it {like spin 3x, jump rope, macarena, seat swap, etc...}. When I see that the kids are starting to fade away, I stop and say "man, our brains need to take a break...lets do a brain break."

If that person behaved in line, listened and followed directions in class with few warnings, they get a reward. If the mystery person doesn't behave their name goes back into the container.

Students have to write in a log every time they do not turn in their homework on time and explain themselves. This helps teachers keep track of how many times the same student does not do his/her homework, makes students think about why they did not do their homework, and establishes accountability.
