This is how Pocahontas would look like if she stepped out of the cartoon and into the real world. Exotic beauty :)

I agree with Sarah....she'd be Native American. She may have dark skin & high cheek bones....she may even be part Native American.

Maybe we can find out who she is and contact her and get her to take a DNA test....who cares she looks the part...you people are ridiculous!!

She did step into the real world... She was a real person and she was only 12-14 years old when she first met John Smith. She looked nothing like this she was a child. Disney over specialized her. That being said this woman is beautiful and she is an indigenous person but most likely Inuit.

I'm pretty sure she is supposed to look like Pocahontas in the Disney film not in real life obviously...

Have you ever seen a real photo taken of Pocahontas? Not a painting but a real pic?

The only known real photographs of her were taken after she had been brought to England and her name changed to Rebecca. I normally don't comment on pins but I felt compelled to on this one as a Native American woman; you have no idea how inaccurate and racist your comment of this photo was. She was a very young girl that was taken from her home, her parents and her people and forced to be some type of oddity on display for the English royals. Like an animal at the zoo. In fact there are documented conversations of people saying things like "look how well behaved she is for a savage". She never had a romantic relationship with John Smith. Have you ever had one of your ancestors portrayed so inaccurately before?

All I said initially was that she was beautiful and looked just like Pocahontas in the MOVIE! II know her story and I knew all that you said about her already I just thought she was beautiful so if that is racist why don't u get a life I mean really can we stop now? You are obsessed with this picture!

I'm still trying to figure out which comment that I made that was racist...? Bc I re read them and nothing racist was said on my behalf at all just tripping on everyone's argument about this girl

Next thing your gonna criticize is Pocahontas didn't have a tattoo or necklace like that which once again solidifies that this is supposed to be from the movie not real life...

She looks Native American to me... That is what you said. That would be like saying all black people look alike or that all Asian people are Chinese. I have moved on from your cultural misappropriation; who is obsessed with this picture now? When you are part of a culture that is still being horribly discriminated against then you will have more room to talk.

You commented again so u are...she does look Native American to me and that's not Racist at all it's an observation...I wonder if u know if Pocahontas really did paint with all the colors of the wind in real life since u are so obsessed with her...what I said wasn't racist and if u think so then u are the racist I think she is beautiful maybe you should contact Disney if u think anyone has cultural misappropriation bc they are the ones who slapped her in a costume and used her to represent Pocahontas ...now lets see how long it takes u to comment back! Miss know it all ! And if u think for one second I'm not discriminated against think again I'm a white person who lives in memphis and am discriminated on by black people every day oh and btw all black people have black skin all Asian people have the same color skin all white people have white skin just in case you are culturally misappropriated

By the last part of your rant you have shown how ignorant you really are. I cannot reason with ignorance.

I love that this cheezy photo comes up in the popular section, because the comments are a valuable lesson to people who accept poor media representations of minorities simply because they're 'beautiful'. If you did know all that about the real Pocahontas, you wouldn't be able to stomach the affection you harbor for this oversexualized disney image. If you're not angry, you're not paying attention.

Liza Bump • 42 weeks ago

Now cat I expect u to argue with them so where's it at! Or was it just my picture that made u mad? Made u think I was racist? I actually work with the public and I'm very far from racist I have lots of friends who are all different ethnicities and never have a problem! Get over yourself
