The earliest recorded residents of the castle were the MacQuillans in the early 1500s, but later Dunluce changed hands to the Clan MacDonnell, Scots who beat the MacQuillans in battles during the 1600s. Galway ireland.. Pretty sure we drove around looking for this very spot for 2 hours and never found it- would up in a pub eating fish n chips instead!

Glendalough, County Wicklow, Ireland. This area, whose name means valley of two lakes, is home to one of the oldest monasteries in Ireland, as well as two beautiful lakes and a few other sites of historical interest (most of which are connected with the monastery). It is a great place to go see if you're in Dublin as it is quite close by.
