Most people associate Multiple Sclerosis with a wheelchair. The fact is, only 1 in 5 people with MS are in a wheelchair and the vast majority of our symptoms aren't immediately obvious. Pain, numbness, pins and needles, spasm, blurred vision, tremour, memory problems, concentration problems, trouble swallowing, reduced dexterity to name but a few. Oh, and fatigue.
This is one people in my life do not understand. We have to make sacrifices all the time. Just spending a few hours grocery shopping one day, might cause me to not be able to get out of bed the next morning. Tired. I hate that every few weeks I am done and out for three days and then it take three days to get moving again. 2 steps forward and 3 steps backwards. Wish some could cure me of that. I will take a day of throwing up in exchange for my done days.
