This cozy bedroom is designed for kids when the family heads to the lake home. Built in bunk beds are on the right and a ladder on the left to access a loft above, all make for a great space for the kids. A funny story about the ladder to the loft. When the homeowner was checking it out for the first time there was a small squeak when using the ladder. I apologized for the squeak and that it would be fixed. She replied that she wanted it left just like that. It is all part of the cabin feel.
Notice the dove tailed corners where the timbers overlap? Little details like this make the home look much more interesting. The roofing material is designer asphalt shingles that are made by Certainteed. On the left is a private porch for the master bedroom and the main entrance is on the right.
