Cool Bulletin Board idea to "spotlight" a student or famous person. I would do both. Maybe every week a different actor, playwright, designer, etc to research to extra credit or a weekly report, and every now and then a student, to make them feel special having been up on the same wall as a big name.

I like the "Writers in the Spotlight" setup for displaying exceptional writing!

Love this idea to celebrate writers towards the end of the year. I would have 2 in the spotlight in Grade 1. Writer of the week spotlight.

I love the mini pocket chart with the writing process steps

This gave me an idea for one of my favorite quotes: Take a picture of hands in family and hang under the quote: "Un homme est qu'il a fait, par ses mains voyons sa coeur." ( A man is what he has done, by his hands we see his heart.) -Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

OMG! I absolutely, positively love this! Fabulous, cozy, and what a wonderful way to celebrate writing and reading! ♥

Love this! Seems a bit young, but I think it is good for some upper grades. Even has student copy in google doc.
