Great idea - not sure how to make it work in a classroom setting getting the kids to set up their own project. I'll think on it.

    I just did this with my third graders. I made a pattern that they traced onto their paper plate and then cut out their notches. I tied on the starting strings and then the students were able to sting the plate. I worked in small groups showing them how to do it. It actually went really fast and they did great. Tell them to be careful not to pull their weaving strings too tight or it will curl the plates up.

3rd grade weaving Cool, solid weft--I was going to say warp but I wemembered that the weft goes weft to wight...:) I'd do that with youngers (K-1)
