Im so doing this with the kids ! Rock Candy. 1 cup water, 2-3 cups sugar, tall narrow glass jar, clothes peg and a skewer, food colouring (optional). Heat water and dissolve sugar until no more will dissolve, roll skewer in extra sugar, let cool then put in water. 2-3 days and you will have rock candy.
