New fabric mixed with vintage bits from Carol Lee's Mom's stash of quilting and sewing fabrics worked in throughout. The task was to create a quilt using the vintage bits that did not feature primary colors and would complement a gray chair--hence the wonky color scheme. But I like a challenge, it forces me to think outside the box and avoid falling back on familiar techniques and patterns." (by square one studio)
