Chia Seed Comparison Chart - This stuff is amazing and has no taste. To make my own superfood snack, I mix 1 Tbsp RAW honey, 1 tsp organic cinnamon & 2 Tbsp MILLED Chia into some organic applesauce. Tastes like cinnamon applesauce!

Chia seeds! I throw some in my smoothies, soak them in water to make a gel base for smoothies, or soak in almond milk - similar consistency to tapioca but throw some fresh fruit in and you are good to go!!

CHIA Seeds contain more omega 3 fats than salmon, and more calcium than whole milk (which we don’t really assimilate well anyway from dairy, but that is another topic!), along with antioxidants. Chia seeds contain all essential amino acids, making them a complete protein. They also contain important minerals like magnesium and boron. High in both soluble and insoluble fiber, chia seeds also helps promote fullness, without feeling too heavy, and ongoing cleansing.

Chia Seed Smoothie Bowl... Serves One
 1. INGREDIENTS: 1/4 c. almond milk (or milk of choice); 
1 scoop chocolate protein powder; 
1 c. frozen strawberries; 
1/2 frozen banana;
 1 tbsp. cocoa powder; 
1 tsp. xanthan gum (optional – adds thickness); 
1 tbsp. chia seeds (plus more for garnish)
; 1 large handful fresh spinach Blend everything save a sprinkling of chia. Garnish with chia.

Banana-Peanut Butter-Chia Roll-up: 
1 whole wheat tortilla
 1 ½ tbsp. peanut butter
 1 banana 
½ tbsp. chia seeds 

Spread  tortilla with peanut butter. Place banana on the one side of the tortilla and sprinkle with chia seeds. Roll tortilla and banana until the banana is completely wrapped in the tortilla. Enjoy!

Chocolate Chia Cookies (Makes 10 cookies) - 1 cup almonds - 1 cup hazelnuts - 1 cup quinoa or buckwheat flour - 1/3 cup pure maple syrup - 1/4 cup medjool dates - 1/4 cup water - 3 tbsp raw cacao powder - 3 tbsp chia seeds - 2 tbsp coconut oil
