I used sunflower seeds, pepitas, and flax seeds and eliminated the chocolate. They were plenty sweet, but I would add a little more nut butter next time. They didn't hold together too well. Probably because of the extra seeds I added. They are still super yummy. Made 20 balls for me....well, actually 22 counting the two I ate in the making process!
My favorite snack ever! These things are amazing!! So healthy!! No-Bake Energy Bites 1 cup (dry) oatmeal 1/2 cup chocolate chips 1/2 cup peanut butter 1/2 cup ground flaxseed 1/3 cup honey 1 tsp. vanilla.
One Bowl, All Natural, No-Bake Energy Bites - Food Doodles So yummy!!! We used peanut butter and Nutella. Too good to leave alone, and very easy to make. Will be doing these again. ♥
One Bowl, All Natural, No-Bake Energy Bites Notes: i used almond butter, a combination of brown rice syrup & honey, GF oats, coconut, some sesame seeds, brown rice cereal (nice added crunch!), ground flax seeds, 2.5 tsp vanilla, no salt, cinnamon and cocoa powder, and tried dark chocolate chips chopped - but they didn't stay in the balls very well...
No bake energy bites - I just got a very similar recipe this week from a coworker's wife. She adds a little bit of extra peanut butter and some slivered almonds for a bit of extra crunch.
