And then I learned the spiritual journey had nothing to do with being nice. It had to do with being real and authentic. Having boundaries. Honoring and respecting my space first, others second. And in this space of self-care, being nice just happened, it flowed... not motivated by fear, but by love. ~ Michelle Olak WILD WOMAN SISTERHOOD Embody your Wild Nature
The biggest issue I have with Christianity (besides the judgmentalism and lack of love for others) is the lack of introspection and growth due to the Theory of Atonement that puts the payment of "crime" on another--the sacrifice of Jesus. Most types that subscribe to such theory lack activity in the frontal cortex responsible for introspection. So it becomes a constant cycle of "sin"-"repentance"-"sin"-"repentance" without actual growth or change.
Live to the beat of your own drum. Whether you choose to call yourself lovely, weird, noble, unique, wild, brave, crazy, humble....or a little of all...embrace and truly love your being...your character. Self worth is awesome. <3 See the beauty in everything, even when some folks think your crazy or when some folks just don't get it...what's important is that you get it. :)
