BORNEO RAINFOREST CANOPY WALKWAY, MALAYSIA. The Mulu National Park’s 480-metre Canopy Skywalk, is the world’s longest tree-based canopy walk. The Canopy Skywalk, suspended 20-metres above the forest floor, was built by local communities with advice from experts on design and structure. It winds among the lush treetops with a tranquil river running below and the soaring heights of nearby limestone cliffs above. There are also platforms at each of the 15 trees.
OMG! ... this looks awesome!! Doubt Robby would walk across with me but so going on the bucket list (Borneo Rainforest Canopy Walkway)
Borneo Rainforest Canopy Walkway - I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to walk on a bridge that narrow way up in the trees, but it's beautiful!

world's largest treehouse in tennessee...more like a tree hotel!
Worlds largest treehouse, Crossville Tennessee. A resident in Crossville, TN (U.S.) named Horace Burgess has the world’s largest tree house. it reachs 97 meters high towering into the sky. it is supported by a white oak tree, with an 80-foot height and diameter of 12 feet. Six other trees grow like a castle tower. This mansion has 80 rooms and 20 veranda's, overlooking the gap and staircase.
"In the early 1990s, landscaper Horace Burgess bought some wooded land on the outskirts of Crossville, Tennessee. One of the bigger trees, next to a dirt road, caught his eye. He decided to build the world's largest tree house in its branches. But Horace had a job and a family. After spending a couple of years on the project, he ran out of lumber and enthusiasm. "Then I turned my life over to God," Horace recalled. "And the spirit of God said, 'If you build Me a tree house, I'll never let you run out of material.'" God doesn't make housing offers every day. Horace got himself ordained as a minister and went back to work. God showed Horace what the tree house would look like ("It was like a vision") but didn't tell Horace how big it would be. "If He had," Horace said, "I would've tried to talk Him out of it." Eleven years of labor later, Horace had what he'd originally wanted: the largest tree house in the world. It spreads across not one, but seven big trees that grow through its floors and out of its windows. It soars 100 feet into the sky. Built without blueprints, its dimensions are a mystery even to Horace, who guesses that it covers around 10,000 square feet."

Log House, is structurally identical to a log cabin (a house typically made from logs that have not been milled into conventional lumber). The term "log home" is preferred by most contemporary builders; a "log cabin" generally refers to a smaller, more rustic log house such as a hunting cabin in the woods, or a summer cottage.

AppliancesDining and EntertainingHome AutomationModern OutdoorsHome Design Ideas Rustic Cabin Design – A Place to “Play” This rustic cabin design was built by Piet Hein Eek for friend, client and musician Hans Liberg who needed an inspiring and cultivating place to "play." There isn’t a whole lot to this simple, wood cabin design. Surrounded by forest, this timber house’s facade is characterized by cross-sections of stacked logs. A row of window clerestory windows features top-hinged, horizontally swinging shades that flood interiors with natural light. Inside, this compact cottage design contains the one thing this nature dweller needed for survival – a recording studio! And if ever Liberg needs some new inspiration for his melodious compositions, this modern mobile home goes where the music takes him thanks to integrated wheels on the bottom.
"Chaos already dominates enough of our lives. The universe is an endless raging sea of randomness. Our job isn't to fight it, but to weather it together on the raft of life. A raft held together by those few rare, beautiful things that we know to be predictable...Us. It won't matter what happens to us as long as we stay honest and accepting of each other's flaws and virtues." -- Community, Remedial Chaos Theory

Tobin House: Built by Michael De Young (founder of the San Francisco Chronicle) for his daughter, Constance, the Tobin house was to be the first half of a pair. Built for the wealthy magnates daughters, his daughters, one of them at least, had other plans, and said, "Thanks, but no, thanks, Dad." The second half of the mirror image house was never built leaving the archway ending abruptly where it meets the next building.
