We'd go crabbing and shrimping with the scout troop then make this one pot meal with a side of boiled crab, one of the Boys favorite meals! Lowcountry boil but the part of South Carolina that I come from calls this Beaufort/Frogmore stew! And we make it using crab boil and don't add lemons but I bet this is just as yummy! Side with lemons and butter sauce for the crab....T26

Grilled low country boil. This site includes three sauce recipes and ideas for beverages.

Not that you really need a "recipe" for a shrimp boil. But this is really useful because it scales all the proportions down to just four people. Not a bad evening, all in all.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon zest, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper. (or any marinade will do). Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and mix to coat with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours and up to 8 hours. Prepare a medium fire in a grill. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 20 minutes before use. Thread the chicken pieces onto skewers and discard the excess marinade. Lightly oil the grill grates. Place the kabobs on the grill, cover, and cook until the chicken is opaque throughout, about 8-12 minutes, turning once or twice during cooking. Transfer to a warmed platter and serve immediately.

LOVE to do this....Crab Boil Seasoning (I use Old Bay) 12 baby red potatoes 6 ears of corn, shucked and silk removed One 12 oz can or bottle of domestic beer 1 medium-size white onion, quartered 2 packages smoked sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces 1 lb medium to large raw shrimp, in the shell (we add red potatoes and sometimes crab legs too)

Beef Kabobs: 1/2 cup salad oil, 1/2 cup soy sauce, 2 tbsp apple-cider vinegar, 2 small onions, chopped, 1 clove garlic, minced, 3 tbsp chopped candied ginger, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1/2 tsp dry mustard, 3 lb rump roast or sirloin-tip roast, cut into 2-x-2-x-1/2 -inch pieces, 2 large green bell peppers, cut into chunks, 1 large sweet onion, cut into chunks.

Candy Kebab, would be a great activity for kids to do at a party and take home
