"Self-Portrait: August, 1995 (Target)" by Kent Bellows. 1995. Acrylic and oil on panel. Collection of Jane and Hugh Hunt. One of my 2 or 3 favorite Bellows pieces. One of the reasons I like this piece so much is because it's a strong example of how he meticulously fabricated his own sets to stage his drawings and paintings.
An early sculpted head in marble by Osamo Naguchi. You might know him more as a designer, but he did a series of commissioned heads - many of which are more dramatically abstracted than this. I enjoy the subtle beauty and nuance Naguchi used to capture the essence of his subjects. Read more at http://www.flickr.com/photos/raimist/1499510723/
