This spectacular suspended installation celebrates light and time

Yasuaki Onishi, Reverse of volume RG. 2012, glue, plastic sheet. Onishi uses the simplest materials - plastic sheeting and black hot glue - to create a monumental, floating form. The process that he calls “casting the invisible” involves draping plastic sheeting over stacked cardboard boxes, which are then removed to leave only their impressions.
