Repining because it worked- Homemade Dishwasher Detergent Revised! Made this last night with except with kosher salt and fresh lemon juice because that's what I already had. Pressed into ice cube trays and dried over night. They came out Great and dishes were clean!

Homemade Dishwasher Detergent Revised! 1 cup Washing soda or Baking soda 1 cup Borax 1/4 cup Kosher salt 1/4 cup citric acid Or as an alternative you can use the same amount of Fruit Fresh or two packets of Lemonade-Flavored Kool-Aid must be unsweetened. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of this mixture to your dishwasher detergent compartment along with 3 drops of dishwashing liquid. Do not use more than three drops. The dishwasher will overflow if you use too much dish soap!

Homemade Dishwasher Detergent 2 parts borax 2 parts washing soda 1 part citric acid (this is the kind I used) 1 part salt essential oils for scent (completely optional)

This works great, I used the citric acid in my mix because i dont use any artificial ingredients. I found it at Wally Mart by the canning supplies for $2.95. I did add some Organic white vinegar to the rinse dispenser to help with some of the spots. I am pinning to save $$ because she has SO many great ideas on how to save you money but also clean your house green! GREAT BLOG!

I might try this since I am trying to save money by not buying diswashing detergent. I hate washing dishes!

According to one pinner: Holy Cow!!! This stuff is AWESOME!!! I only made 1/2 as much (I didn't have as much lemonade as I thought, oops). I will not be buying dishwasher soap ever again!!!! My tupperware looks brand new again!

Make your own dishwasher detergent!-- We made this the same time we did the washing detergent. Our dishes actual come out cleaner than with Cascade! Use white vinegar for rinse fluid for that extra sparkle.
