Yamaha’s underrated Virago from the 1980s is really gaining favor as a custom base

The ugly duckling becomes a swan: check out this amazing Yamaha Virago custom from Doc’s Chops.

I'm not usually one for the attention-starved café racers (nor the enormous cruisers from which they're derived) but this cleaned-up Yamaha XV750 is just beautiful. The timeless tuning-forks logo on the side is icing on the cake.

1982 Virago XV750, I had my doubts that an 82 virago could ever look this cool. I've never been so happy to be wrong!

Lossa Engineering builds super-clean cafe racers, and none cleaner than this sleek Yamaha SR500.

Hah! Another bike with fork gaiters. I'm sure it is a trend... Really like the look of the Yamaha TR1 motor, and this is a nicely referential attempt at framing it. But why no mudguards...? Presumably designer doesn't intend anyone to actually ride it. Pity. Looks like it could be fun.
