The walk along this road was treacherous. Not because it ended in the ocean but because the gulls used it to prepare their meals. Digging for clams on the beach a 100 yards away, they'd climb high into the sky and drop them on to the asphalt from above. If all went as planned the shells would crack open and then the dive bombing would ensue. If you were not hit by the falling clams it was the diving birds you had to be worried about... But the view at the end of the road was worth the risk.
