TIANZI MOUNTAIN. ZHANGHJIAJIE. CHINA. Tianzi Mountain is located in Zhangjiajie in the Hunan Province of China, close to the Suoxi Valley. It is named after the farmer Xiang Dakun of the Tujia ethnic group, who led a successful local farmers' revolt and called himself "tianzi". This means "son of heaven" and is the traditional epithet of the Chinese emperor.
A view of the path to the top. About 8KM from downtown of Zhangjiajie lies the Tianmen Mountain, also known as Heaven Gate Mountain. It is approximately 7 mile hike and climb to Heaven's Gate. There is a Temple that is 500 years old at the top. If you do not want to hike you can take the longest cable car ride in the world.
