In 1629 Pope Urban VIII asked Gian Lorenzo Bernini to design the fountain. Bernini's project was never constructed but his touch can still be seen. The work was started in 1732 by Nicola Salvi and finalized in 1762 by Giuseppe Pannini.

Just being able to BE in Rome, to eat the food, and TAKE PICTURES, would probably be the most amazing thing I've ever done in my life. -- to be honest, I would probably cry if I even set FOOT in that country. It's just absolutely amazing to me. A huge passion of mine, that I've always dreamt of. & it IS on my bucketlist ;)
