Hmmm, will have to try this. Soak a hand towel in fabric softener. Squeeze out any remaining drops from the towel. Hang it over a chair (or outside on a clothes line) to dry. House will smell super clean for the three days while this towel is drying completely. Yes, it took three days! You must make sure it dries completely! After the towel dries you just throw it in your dryer along with clothes and use it as a dryer sheet for 40-50 loads before soaking again.

How to Clean and Maintain a Smelly Front Loading Washing Machine

How To Clean Your Front Loading Washing Machine: Once a month, I add a cup of Distilled White Vinegar & 1 Cup of Baking Soda (adding both neutralizes the pH but the bubbling action gently scrubs any debris you can’t get to inside the drum) directly into the drum and use HOT water for washing. Then, I add about ½ cup of vinegar into the fabric softener compartment and ½ cup of baking soda into the detergent compartment.

DIY Carpet cleaner for a machine. 1 gallon hot water 1/2 cup peroxide 4 Tbsp white vinegar 4 Tbsp Dawn dish soap, 1/2 cap fabric softener (I used Downey) Stir slowly then add to machine as directed by manufacture. (I used a Bissell ProHeat Machine) Works amazing! I recommend this natural Carpet Cleaner #Spotless #NaturalCleaning #DIYCarpetCleaner
