Hadrian’s Villa, Rome, Italy – (Villa Adriana) is a large Roman archaeological complex at Tivoli, Italy. The villa was constructed at Tibur (modern-day Tivoli) as a retreat from Rome for Roman Emperor Hadrian during the 2nd & 3rd decades of the 2nd century AD. The imperial residence was built over it in AD 118-38, a symbol of a power.
