Fast and Easy Paper Mache Recipe :: Paper Mache is real easy to make. You simply mix equal parts of flour and water then add some salt and stir it up. I usually make a batch that has two cups of flour, two cups of water and 1 tablespoon of salt and mix it up. It makes enough for a nice pinata. Newspaper is the usual paper I use, but other papers give different textures.
Add orange peels (or any citrus peel) to a quart of white vinegar in a closed container and let it set for two weeks. Combine citrus/vinegar solution half/half with water and use for cleaning. Works on floors, tile, fixtures, etc. Smells good and is tough on scum! Best of all there are no chemicals.
DIY Vintage Wood Stain: Mason jar: 1/4 cup used grounds, fill it up almost to the top with vinegar, approx 3-4 cups of vinegar to 1/4 cup grounds. It is the interaction between the steel wool and vinegar that is really important, grounds just add a brown tinge. Can use tea (strong), white vinegar goes brown, apple cider grey-ish, balsamic greenish. Search ebonizing wood steel wool vinegar
