Usually I can't ever pick a "favorite" something, but this time I can. I have read this no less than 5 times. It is my go-to book always.

One of my favorite books by one of my favorite authors. Facing an empty nest, Nan realizes that everything she has done for the last 25 years has been for someone else. In search for her own idenity, she runs away. The author alternates, one chapter is Nan's adventure, and then next is what she has written in her journal. You'll laugh and cry!

I love it when you find an author that you love and you just want to devour everything she's written. After reading this and "The Senator's Wife" -I'm on a mission.

Anita Shreve - "Body Surfing"...this one started my love of Anita Shreve books a few years ago.

Possible book club read. Another pinner said...Year of Wonders, by Geraldine Brooks. You feel like you are living it. The main character is a self-taught midwife during the plague...one of the best books I've read the last few years. I plan to read more of this author's books.
