Manchester University Baseball - Manchester University junior pitcher Temujin Sery threw eight strong innings in game one, while the Spartan offense plated nine runs over the final three frames of the nightcap to highlight a 7-3, 10-2 sweep of Manhattanville Sunday, March 3. Sery, continuing an impressive early showing for the MU starting rotation, didn't issue a walk, struck out three and surrendered only two earned runs in the opener.
Manchester University Women's Basketball - Manchester University junior women's basketball forward Erynn Meiklejohn earned honors following her performance in the 2013 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference postseason tournament. Meiklejohn was among six individuals selected to the all-tournament team. She finished the weekend with 20 points, 11 rebounds, four steals and three blocked shots and also hit 50 percent from the field (nine-of-18), as MU registered a 1-1 record.
Junior shortstop Corey Marchant (Fort Wayne, Ind.) put another impressive credential on Manchester University’s 2012 baseball season when he was named a second team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association last month.
