Manchester University Baseball - Manchester University junior pitcher Temujin Sery threw eight strong innings in game one, while the Spartan offense plated nine runs over the final three frames of the nightcap to highlight a 7-3, 10-2 sweep of Manhattanville Sunday, March 3. Sery, continuing an impressive early showing for the MU starting rotation, didn't issue a walk, struck out three and surrendered only two earned runs in the opener.
Manchester University Baseball - A solid starting pitching performance from senior Justin Scott helped lift Manchester past Rose-Hulman 4-1 Sunday, April 21. In the seventh, sophomore second baseman Trevor Kimm extending his hit streak to 13 games, led off with a home run to tie the game at 1-1. MU increased its conference lead over second-place Anderson to three games. The Spartans continue their current road swing with a single nine-inning game at Defiance College.
Manchester university Softball - The Spartans made history and won their first HCAC title and first conference title since 1992. Behind a pair of hard-nosed pitching performances from sophomores Maureen Lund and Ashlea Nash, Manchester University made history with 5-2, 6-4 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference wins over Defiance College. Manchester closes the 2013 season May 1, when in-state rival DePauw visits Spartan Field for a doubleheader. The 2013 HCAC tournament starts at MU May 3.
