Wise Blood - Flannery O'Connor (Cover art: Roxanna Bikadoroff)
WISE BLOOD, 1952, by Flannery O'Connor. An eccentric novel of Southern eccentrics with a style and humor all its own. This is one of my all-time favorite novels.
The Violent Bear It Away (and anything ever written by Flannery O'Connor)
If I dared, I would write in the mornings, and in the afternoons leave that behind and just live life, as Flannery O'Connor did. Oh, yes, and have her talent would be nice also.

Wise Blood by Flannery O'Connor (I know, I'm going out on a limb here... but give it a shot)
I love O'Connor and agree with my Dad that "A Good Man is Hard to Find" is pure genius.
I love this mans writing!!!! Sometimes his books are intense, sometimes uncomfortable ex. "The Road". I cannot put them down.
