THE STARFISH STORY. I HAVE REVOLVED MY LIFE AROUND THIS SINCE I HEARD IT AT LOURDES CAMP IN THE SEVENTH GRADE. OBSESSED.

My mom told me this story when I was a child over and over. It never sank in. Years later, at a very pivotal point in my life, a dear friend told mdre this story once again. I often wonder if she knows that she threw a starfish into the sea that day? :)

Paul Coelho. Smart man. My new thing is travel. I think the best way to spend your time is being with someone you are madly in love with & enjoying life. Some people would rather network & fill every single minute engaging with as many people as possible. I am about travel now, alone or eventually with someone who gets me. So, solo works for me.

When God puts love and compassion in your heart toward someone, He's offering you an opportunity to make a difference in that person's life.

The difference between who you are and what you want is what you DO.

I love this! It isn't about the people who are always around, or always hang out with you or what not. It is about the ones who are there for you, no matter! Being there for you doesn't mean they have to physically e there...phone calls, text messages, and IMs can mean just as much.

Listen earnestly to anything your children want to tell you, no matter what. If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big, because to them all of it has always been big stuff. ~Catherine M. Wallace~

Be pretty if you can, be witty if you must, be gracious if it kills you.

To all the great teachers out there...this is you!
