Paul Klee: Static-Dynamic Gradation (1987.455.12) | Heilbrunn Timeline of Art History | The Metropolitan Museum of Art (inspiration)

Static-Dynamic Gradation 1923. Paul Klee / This watercolor reflects the artist's preoccupation with color relationships. Here, outer dark colors surround pure luminous ones in the center. Paul Klee | Tale a la Hoffmann, 1921 | Klee loved the tales of the German poet and writer E. T. A. Hoffmann (1776–1822), who was nicknamed "Ghost Hoffmann" in his own country. Tale à la Hoffmann appears to be loosely based on the poet's best-known lyrical tale, The Golden Pot (1814), a magical story that switches back and forth between high fantasy and everyday life in Dresden.

Paul Klee faces. Should also be a great review of SHAPES for my PRE-K kids.
