This 39 page download is a complete kit with black line masters and step by step photo directions for making a U.S. state and capital envelope book with your students. This activity is one of the most memorable of the year for many of my students! Words are hidden in the reflection ornaments. The process of "hiding" the words (Christmas/holiday/winter related) using reflections fascinates students. The ornaments are fun to create, all designs are unique, they make wonderful decorations for the holidays, and students are practicing reflection and symmetry as they design their own ornament. The activity is a wonderful blending of geometry and art!
