On page June 8 in THE BOOK OF AWAKENING, Mark Nepo writes about 'To Rest Like A Tree.' "The storm by its nature wants to move on, and the tree's grace is that it has no hands. Our blessing and curse is to learn and relearn when to reach and hold, and when to put our hands in our pockets."

I could not possibly count how many times I have wrapped my arms around a tree to draw from its energy. Growing up on a beautiful property with an abundance of gorgeous old trees is where my connection to trees began. Trees are very spiritual having special significance in many religions. As a trees roots go deep into the ground they provide a very calming grounding vibrational energy. Hugging a tree may sound strange but the tree can help ground you giving out an energy vibe of safety, security & stability. Trees can help you reconnect with the sacredness of life & living things. A good visualisation of clearing negativity is to hug or make physical contact with the tree & picture in your mind all of your negative thoughts going down through the tree into its roots in the ground being cleansed by Mother Natures earth. A lovely spiritual gesture is to then thank the tree for helping you (either vocally or mentally) which then again raises a positive energy & creates more positive energy for you, the tree & the planet.❤️ Kindred

Uh oh...someone reincarnated into a tree.

Dryad - A dryad is a tree nymph, or female tree spirit, in Greek mythology. In Greek drys signifies "oak." Thus, dryads are specifically the nymphs of oak trees, though the term has come to be used for all tree nymphs in general. They were normally considered to be very shy creatures, except around the goddess Artemis, who was known to be a friend to most nymphs. Tags: dryads, tree nymphs, nymphs, hamadryads,
