      Visual Arts or Sensory Play DIY Floam: Materials: 2 tsp. borax 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup elmer's glue 1/4 cup water food coloring an air-tight plastic bag 5/3 cups of polystyrene beads. You can substitute 2/3 cups micro-beads (1 mm from Jo-Ann Fabrics) and 1 cup bean bag filler (1/8"). You can also grate styrofoam cups or packing peanuts.

In other bowl, mix glue + 1/4 cup water. Add coloring. 3. Pour glue solution in bag. + add 3 tbsp borax solution, DON'T MIX.  4. Add polystyrene beads. 5. Seal bag & knead until mixed. Let stand 15mins & knead again.

      A DIY FLOAM recipe - *Put 1 Tbs of white Elmer's Galactic Glue into a gal. size ziploc bag. Add 3 Tablespoons of water. Add food color of choice. * Add about 3 ounces (one Dixie bathroom cup) polystyrene microbeads. * Add 1 teaspoon of Borax (laundry detergent). It must be Borax.* Knead mixture in bag. If too watery, add more Borax 1/4 teaspoon at a time. Let stand 5 minutes. This recipe can be doubled. Be sure to read the detailed instructions at the blog site.

    FLUBBER RECIPE Step 1 Combine and mix well: -2 cups Elmer’s Glue -1/4 cups warm water -Food coloring of your choice Step 2: In a separate bowl, combine and mix well: -3 tsp. Borax -1 cup Warm Water Step 3: Pour the first mixture into the second. There’s no need to stir. It makes itself!
