Great Teacher Gift idea....Gardener's Hand Scrub. SUPER easy to make! The kids could do it!
Ingredients 2 cups brown sugar 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 cup mineral oil, olive oil or coconut oil 1 tsp vanilla Instructions 1.Combine the sugars in a medium sized bowl. Mix in the mineral oil and vanilla and stir until combined. Once you have your sugar scrub you can place it in baby food containers or mason jars. I have tons of baby food jars, so I used those. :)
Homemade Sugar Scrub (Christmas gift idea)...made it tonite! Very easy & I had all of the ingredients already on hand...there's no real measurements, so I just tested it out (on my hands) until I found the best results...my hands are very soft! I have little jars from the dollar store & I plan to make personalized labels, & dress them up w/ bows, ribbons, string, etc.....**Update : I make & use this All the time..I love it :) I've given it as an add-on gift to a friend already & she loved it too
Sugar Scrub "3 cups white sugar 1 cup + 2 Tbsp. good quality oil (olive oil, or any nice, non-smelly oil) 10 drops of yummy-scented essential oil per jar (mandarin, peppermint, and lavender) Combine your sugar and oil, mix it up well, and divide into separate bowls (if you're planning to flavor them separately). Add your essential oil, stir, and divide among your jars."
gardeners scrub: two different sizes of Ball jars, the 8 oz. and the 12 oz., and filled them 3/4 full of sugar. I then added Dawn dish soap (the pink kind with with Olay Beauty Hand Renewal in it) until it reached just below the bottom of the mouth of the jar. Stir the sugar and soap together….adding sugar a little at a time until it’s a paste-like consistency.
3/4 cup baking soda (you can add a little more if it seems a little thin after it’s all mixed together.) 1/4 cup castile soap (I used Dr. Bronners Citrus Orange) Mix baking soda and soap first then add remaining ingredients. 1 Tablespoon water 10-15 drops of tea tree oil 1 Tablespoon vinegar
