"We are stardust, we are golden, and we've got to get ourselves back to the garden." ~ Joni Mitchell

This is a exercise for writers block that I love doing: Take this picture and write a metaphor, a poem, sentence, paragraph or story about it.

(Open RP) The rain pours and pours. It hasn't stopped for days and this is no exception. I see a red headed girl under a black umbrella, she is looking down and she seem sad. I stare at her through the crowd of people and I realize the city is bustling around me. "Excuse me!!" Someone shouts in my ear. I quickly turn around and accidentally trip over someone or something, and I land in someone's arms. I look up,"I'm so sorry!" I say (can someone be the girl he runs into? Please?)

“Shinrin-yoku” is a Japanese term that translates as “forest bathing” and describes immersing oneself in a forest environment in order to experience the healing effects of Mother Nature at her best. It is believed that the trees themselves emit natural aromatherapeutic benefits from the essential oils in the woods that are inhaled over an extended period, causing an actual "magic in the air."

To initially awaken our inner Shaman from her slumber, we must remember our wilderness and deeply reconnect with nature. We have to get outside and expose ourselves to the elements so that we can reignite our awareness that we are nature. Observe everything. Tune in. Synchronize with this force and allow it to fill you with the wisdom of your own wilderness. ~Melinda Rodriguez
