Quetzal. Quetzals are strikingly colored birds in the trogon family. They are found in forests and woodlands, especially in humid highlands, Quetzals have iridescent green or golden-green wing coverts, back, chest and head, with a red belly. Even with their famous bright plumage, they can be hard to see in their natural wooded habitats.

This uniquely-plumaged bird breeds on the coasts of Peru and Chile, and is restricted to the Humboldt current. It can be identified by its dark grey body, white moustache on the both sides of its head, and red-orange beak and feet. The Inca Tern is a large tern, 16 in long. Sexes are similar; the adult is mostly slate-grey with white restricted to the facial plumes and the trailing edges of the wings. The large bill and legs are dark red.

Green-headed Tanager (Tangara seledon) is a #birds #bird found in Atlantic forest in south-eastern Brazil, far eastern Paraguay and far north-eastern Argentina. While essentially a bird of humid forests, it is also common in orchards and parks, where it moves through the canopy, making itself inconspicuous, as its apparently flashy blue-green coloration camouflages it well amongst the foliage.

The Pyrrhuloxia or Desert Cardinal is a medium-sized North American song bird found in the American southwest and northern Mexico.
