The Departed (2006). An undercover state cop who has infiltrated an Irish gang and a mole in the police force working for the same mob race to track down and identify each other before being exposed to the enemy, after both sides realize their outfit has a rat.
"The Last Picture Show" (1971). A masterpiece whose reputation has been crippled by its being shot in B&W. One of my favorite pictures. Ben Jonson and Cloris Leachman won supporting Oscars. Director Peter Bogdanovich's best film. Jeff Bridges' (and Cybil Shepherd's) film debut. I love the stylized minimalist poster design too.
Dear John (2010) A U.S. soldier falls for a Southern college student, but their love is put on hold when terrorist attacks prompt him to reenlist. Now, handwritten letters hold the lovers together in this modern romance. Channing Tatum, Amanda Seyfried, Richard Jenkins...TS romance
Barefoot In The Park (1967) - Combines love and laughs. Paul Bratter is a newly married lawyer. Corrie Bratter is a newly married woman whose main goal in life is to have fun and to have it with Paul. Together they learn how to live and love in an apartment that's laughably small in New York and located on the fifth floor of a building with no elevator. Corrie's mother has some of the funniest lines.
