~~Loss of a Pet Sympathy Poems~~ Pets are silent members of our families, deserving respect and honor as they exit life. Pet loss poems provide pet loss quotes, grieving poems and a sympathy poem for those who lost pets. Pets live among us, often times sharing our room. They eat beneath us as if human. This is a very true thing. Dogs are always your best friend, selfless creatures who will love you no matter who you are, what you look like, what you have done or not yet done. Animals do not discriminate, they only love and wished to be loved in return. <3

Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog’s owners, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a miracle.I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer. I told the family we couldn’t do anything for Belker, and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home.As we made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told me they thought it would be good for six-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience. The next day, I felt the familiar catch in my throat as Belker ‘s family surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that I wondered if he understood what was going on. Within a few minutes, Belker slipped peacefully away. The little boy seemed to accept Belker’s transition without any difficulty or confusion. We sat together for a while after Belker’s Death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that animal lives are shorter than human lives. Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, ”I know why.”Startled, we all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned me. I’d never heard a more comforting explanation. It has changed the way I try and live.He said,”People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life — like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?” The Six-year-old continued,”Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay as long.” (Originally posted in Reader's Digest)

I LOVE this puppy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The love of a dog can teach us much...it is constant, unchanging and always unconditional.

.Wouldn't it be wonderful if people were like this!

Yes!! My puppies and kitty took so much care of me after my surgery yesterday. Neko cuddled up with me last night right by where I had my surgery and started rubbing his paw gently on it. ♥33

My Skoshi girl looked just like this puppy but all black. She taught me a lot

Love this image. I can't imagine a house without a dog. I guess it could be done but it must feel so empty.

Fact! Fact!!! Fact!!! How many people in your life plow you over with enthusiastic love every time you walk in the door even if all you did was just take out the trash. Just unconditional love and they are ready to do anything you are :). Think about truly, how does your husband welcome you home and how does the dog welcome you home?

What a smile! He likes this just like a human baby does! #AdorablePuppies #pets #dogs Facebook.com/sodoggonefunny

... I see so many neglected, without sufficient clean water or food. Pet ownership should be allowed only after a course in pet responsibility has been taken & passed. Then a license & fee should be required for each pet. Perhaps people will treat their pets a little more like a living thing rather than a toy stuffed animal.
