Mason Jar Herb Garden (hint - put small stones in bottom to allow the dirt to drain and you can monitor how much water is in there.. also for water use either, a long spout watering can, a spritz bottle or just shove a few ice cubes in there, they will water as they melt... no mess) put in a sunny spot so that herbs will thrive!

Got Herbs? Try this out in a Hanging Pocket Shoe Rack -This is perfect if you just have a small outdoor space. Just poke a few holes on the bottom of each pouch and fill with good soil, then a small rooted herb plant. If you water from the top, it trickles down to the lower 'pocket', like a waterfall, so don't over water!

DIY herb gardens. Cut the soda bottle or any plastic bottle with a cover. Turn upside down; attach to board. I'm thinking of leaving the cover to the bottle on; punch in a few holes to drain excess water, but not have the soil drain out also.

vertical herb garden. I cant wait to move now! I cant even have a potted plant outside my door in my community. Urgh! I need to plant something!

A vertical herb garden would be so perfect, especially in small spaces.

this is adorable! i would love this on my carport ...or tiny screened porch if it would fit.

Great idea for an herb garden... And easy to water, just punch a couple of small holes in the bottom of each pouch. I'm hanging mine on the fence in my side yard outside the kitchen side door! 😄

vertical gardening - grow up, not out

Space saving garden. I'd put this on wheels and move it around to get more/less sun.

Now I know what to do with my shoe hanger when I move into the duplex. We need a way to grow stuff without crowding the patio or taking up space on the grass. Schweet!
